oppinion on weiand xcelrator for a mild 350
Is the weiand xcelerator a decent manifold, for a mild cam, 1 3/4 headers, otherwise stock 350, with a holley 750 vacuum secs. ?
Im runnin one on my 350 and the car is definately soggy under 2500, would a dual plane intake help this. Any recomendation on a good dual plane no taller than the xcelerator.

Definately head for the dual plane, your low end torque will really wake up over the xcelerator. Im not familiar with what d.p.'s clear the C3 hood so I can't recommend. I would suspect a performer would work well. 1-5/8 headers would pick up the bottom end a bit too, but probably not enough to justify the cost.

I run a weiand #8004 action+ daul plane manifold w/Holley 600 vac secondary carb w/ drop base filter in my 72 LT1. Lt1s run big block style hoods, not sure what year yours is/what style hood you have.

Melting Slicks
Go for the Performer, and make sure your secondaries are not opening to quickly--a 750 is a BIG carb for a stock 350.
Important...check your spark AND vacuum advance curves..this can "wake up" a boggy car.

thanks for the responce, guys, the car is actually a carbed c4, I posted on the c3 board cause theres alot more carb guys here.
The ignition is recurved to all in 36' by 2500, rpm with vac disconected. Ive played with squirter size, secondary springs, ect...
I cant get rid of off idle stumble no matter what i do.
I just picked up a weiand stealth, used for a good deal, From what ive read this is a pretty decent manifold, and is definately going to fit.
Just curious, at what point hp wise, would the dual plane become a restriction?
Ive also read that 1 3/4 headers, with dual 3 inch, is too big for my application. is this true,? The car came with this setup and ive already spent my budget, so ide hate to have to change.

1-5/8 in headers and dual 2-1/2"s are plenty for your 350.

i put the excellerator in mine(although i havent driven it yet).the reason i did go with the single plane is because the guys over on the hotrodder site said what i loose on take off will be more than made up for once the car took off.
also the performer intake is little more than stock, the performer r.p.m. is better than the performer.there is clearence issues with the rpm.
