Hi everyone. Well, I just got back from sea. After three months, it is time to get the LS1 conversion going again.
So far, the engine is sitting in the car supported by wood blocks. It fits great with only a few minor problems. This weekend it is coming out again to finish up the engine mounts and the detailing of the engine bay. I am sending out the computer this week too. I should get that back really soon. Then it is on to the fuel system. I am still looking for a good pump that will work with the 60psi required for the LS1.
That's pretty much it for now. Just wanted to give everyone and update now that I am home.

A 70 LS1.... One of my fantasy projects. Please put a bigblock (LT-1) hood on the car and stripes like an LT-1. Then you put LS-1 emblems on the hood, and all the experts will be telling you, "It's supposed to be L"T" 1 in 1970" !!! Then you pop the hood and say, "NO, it's an L "S" 1.... dope! " MJ
That is very awesome what you're doing with the LS1. Always wanted to know what would happen if you stuck an LS1 in a stingray. I drive a '75 automatic L48 so it's not real fast compared to my mom's '01 coupe. I'd like to know how it turns out and maybe a few pics to go with it.
