when i first got my '73 the clock wasn't working, but thanks to 'Strats-N-Vettes' detailed "file your points to fix your clock" thread, my clock now works great!
.. although.. it gains about 7min a day.
is there any adjustment for this.. i hate once a week advancing the hands 12 hours!
The old GM clocks have the fast/slow built into the time set. Each time you turn the time ahead or back, it adjusts the speed a little tiny bit slower or faster. So if it's running fast, each time you turn it back it will slow the speed down a c-hair until it stays right. What you need to be doing is turning it back to set the time, thus slowing it down. It will take many resettings to accomplish this, especially if you are running that fast.
