Installing throw out bearing
I just got the Muncie back from the tranny shop and am getting ready to install it.
I put a new clutch on while I had it apart, but now I have a question I am not able to answer.
The clutch is installed just fine and I was installing the fork and throw out bearing. I noticed that the new throw out bearing has a "bump" in the groove where the clutch fork rides. I assume that this is to prevent the collar from spinning. However, I don't know whether this "bump" should be positioned between the clutch fork "fingers" or outside of them. I didn't notice how the old one came off.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how it's supposed to be installed?

ive always installed them so that the bump is between the fingers. its more important that you get the bearing mounted in the arm correctly. its tougher to get the spring in and most dont do it right simply because it easier
