82 wheel refinishing

82 wheel refinishing
The wheels on my 82 are "cloudy" and need to be refinished. I checked the archives but no info was available.
Are these wheels clear coated? ( I think they are) I'm thinking of sending them out to be stripped and polished. Anyone from Mass deal with any local wheel shop? Is just haivng them polished and not clearcoated a bad idea?
Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, the wheels are clearcoated. If the clearcoat is gone,they are high maintenence to keep 'em looking good.
I have read here on the forum a while ago about people sending their aluminum wheels out to have refinished, but can't remember where.
A couple of weekends ago I polished my wheels with Mothers mag polish. It's a lot of work to get them shined/cleaned,but the end resuls are terrific.

I know a place who work mag ,refinish and clear coat like factory. We send mag every mounth from wrecked cars there and the result is incredible. I plan to send mine this winter for 100$ each.
