Tom Johnson, I don't know the color, but I know that it was first painted gold and then the red was sprayed over it. It changes colors under different lighting, slight orange tint on a sunny day, and a dark crimson on a cloudy or even part of day.
Alwyn678 "I am jealous...could U donate them to me when ur done?? " I'll keep you in mind ;) .
Andy1983 "Man... those are UGLY.
You should seriously take those off like ASAP.
And when they are off..... so not to waste... I guess you could GIVE them to me and I will find a good home for them. " You forgot to leave an address
 !
Ron 75, I unfortunately know what you mean :( You'll get them someday ;) .
Hawk77 "Welcome to the 'leg burners' club " Thanks :D
74 Roadster The Hooker headers bolt directly to the engine, then the sidepipes slip over the headers & mount to the side of the car's frame. They are chrome from the engine to the sidepipe tips .
I haven't decided if I'll ever have to rear bumper molded to the car like the front. The guy who molded the front bumper totally glued the fiberglass bumper to the body & said it is know one piece so if a hit anything with it they'll have to fix it like the rest of the car, they won't be able to just replace the front bumper ( they probably could but they'd have to cut the entire bumper off) . ;)

mikeo - watch out for deer!
I lived in New York and had to commute between Sleepy Hollow & Newburgh. I would dodge deer all the way home every night.
A guy I worked with came to work one day with deer guts all over the passenger side of his car. I asked him how he got dead deer on his car without getting a dent.
He said when he was leaving work the night before, someone just hit a large buck. When he pulled along side it to count the points on it's rack, a speeding semi-truck ran over it.. :U
Red73, both mom & son are doing great :yesnod: , Noah is 1 week old today ! My rearend is still broke, I had an accident at home a couple of weeks ago & haven't been able to do much :( .
Massvette, Thanks I couldn't agree more ;) . Now all I'm missing is the 502  !
ScubaJKD, I think I have the glasspack pipes right now, but plan to look into the JCL pipes down the road.
Johns_77 let me know what time & I'll fire her up :D .
Rolling Thunder, what can I say  , I hope we can one day get our C3's together ! Thanks.
Hey
Nice car.
My 68 ragtop has the same pipes and the big block sound nasty.
No need to blow any horns, nobody can hear it anyway.
Loud pipes save lifes . :D
I think every C3 should have them installed, real eyecatcher.
Gunther
The Hooker Sidepipes are my favorites! - I had them on my 69.
I also use them on my 68 Custom Convertible!
Olivier
PS: I use those pipes without any mufflers or baffles. However - I would like to put some kind of mufflers into those pipes. However - I only want to reduce the noise a little bit (the glasspacks are too quiet). Does anyone know what the loudest mufflers/ baffles for those pipes are and where I can get them?
I cannot make any more photos because I sold my black 69 2 years ago!
