Default Crossmember opening diameter?

I have a 1970 4 speed. I am out of town and need to know the exact diameter of the crossmember openings to order some parts.

Thank you in advance.

Anyone have exact measurement of crossmember opening. Would really appreciate, so I may purchase some parts while out of town. Thanks again!

Don't have my car in front of me, but...if it helps...I have 2 1/2" pipes and, IIRC, there's about 3/4" left surrounding the pipe. I believe other members have fit 3" pipes thru the crossmember.

Thanks Tony. I am looking to use v-band clamps like 632C2 did on C2,don't know if C2 & C3 are the same. I believe flanges have an OD of 3 1/4" need to know for sure if flanges will fit through openings.

Saw your thread earlier. Had the 78SA up on the lift so I measured it. 3 1/2".

Thanks Mike for your assistance and time while 78SA was on lift, hope it was just for routine maintenance.
