Default i'm done with Zip

I'm not a believer in flame posting but I am absolutely done with zip products, I'm tired of bad attitudes mostly every time i call to place an order, and for the prices in todays market they at least better have a good attitude!!!!!!!! after $4000 I've had enough!!!!!!! :mad :mad :mad

I'm sorry to hear that too. I find their prices are usually very good. I've used them for probably 90% of my orders too, although I haven't ordered THAT many parts yet. My only complaints are that the Forum Res Store doesn't carry their entire line of parts, and that the shipping could be a little better....same day shipping and more shipping options.

They're definitely my favorite supplier though.

sorry to hear that. i have used zip for most of my parts also and have never had a problem. infact they have gone out of the way to help me several times. i placed an order for a gas tank for my 71 vert to day and they were really nice and helpful. the tank is out of stock so they are having it drop shiped straight to me. they were upfront about the time it would take .[about a week]. in the last year i have spent over 12 grand with them and have had nothing but great attitudes and friendly service. robert

I have been ordering on line and all three of my shipments have been received within three to four days of ordering. I have been very happy with the service.

I have purchased several thousands from zip. When I need to purchase something I only talk to ANDY (sales manager) now.

71DropTop you must have talked to Wes, his attitude sucks.

I would suggest to everyone to never deal with Wes. He is the biggest f-ing A**ss HOLE that I have ever delt with. He treats his customers like s-h-i-t.. I am not the only one my father has gotten into a arguement with him over the phone. Because he didn't want to take the time to check to make sure a part was in stock. The guy is a lazy sack of s-h-i-t.

71DropTop, call zip ask for Andy (sales manager) and tell him your problem. he will make it right.

I have never mentioned wes's attitude problem to andy but I will the next time I talk to andy. The next time I am in the store I will make sure that Wes knows what I think of him and his service.

Zip = Great service, #1, better then Mid America
Wes = A**ss hole, *****, Lazy, rude and needs to be fired.

I've phoned ZIP for some obscure used parts that I was looking for and I never received a call back. The Last detail has prices that put Zip to shame and they are an authorized GM reproduction parts dealer. Always had prompt, courteous service and delivery. #1 in my books. Give them a try.

That's hard to believe, I've always had great service from Zip. Yeah, Wes is a bit of a *****, but Andy is great to deal with. They really ought to give Wes an attitude adjustment :smash:
Lately I have been ordering either through Gary Gruhala (if I'm not sure of the correct part) or from the Zip Corvette Forum store.
A couple of months ago I ordered the O-ring Seal kit to rebuild my calipers from Zip. Wes took my order. I didn't realize the kit did not include the pistons. He never said anything. I didn't discover this until the next Sunday when I got ready to work on my rear calipers. I got on line and ordered the pistons that Sunday night. Monday afternoon, Andy called me to tell me that O-ring kits were necessary for these pistons. I told him that I had ordered the O-rings the previous week, he checked the computer (I guess) and he said. "Yeah, we (Wes!!) should have told you this when you ordered them, I'll send them out and we'll eat the shipping and handling."
That was pretty classy, I didn't ask him to do that, he just did it. Sold me on Andy's customer service.

Andy is cool, but Wes needs to be B--ITCH slapped or something.

When I go to zip I need to drive 2 hours to get to their store. When I get Wes he puts up a b--itch fit about me calling to check to see if an item is in stock.

Wes needs to be fired... I will tell andy that on saturday.

Wes is costing Zip sales. Put it this way. I need a new interior for my car. If Wes picks up the phone I will hang up and call someplace else.

Wow, I'm sensing some of you have some "issues" with this Wes guy. ;)

I guess I've been lucky; I've bought a bunch of stuff from Zip, some by phone and by driving down there for big things (like fuel and brake lines). I've always had really good luck and even some very helpful hints from them.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, 71. :(

Wes is the reason I bought my $1300 interior package from Corvette America instead of ZIP. Once was enough for me. He could probably get work with the '74 expansion tank **** guy.

ZIP Products remains my favorite aftermarket supplier. I've purchased from them for several years and always found them to be reliable. No complaints.

If so many people are having problems with Wes, maybe he should be given the boot.

Bluewasp,

Zip is only 2 hours from us?? Damn, I should drive down there one of these days and save some of the money I have been spending on shipping...

Have been dealing with Zip for the past several years. No complaints. Knowledgeable about their product line, good prices, fast delivery.......... Order on Monday and have the item in your hand on Wednesday.

Have also had good luck with Corvette Central.

Just my .02.

Issues! ahhaha.. Yeah.. Call Zip and ask for Wes.. Try to have him check for a part or asking him some vette questions. Then you will know what we are talking about.
