4 SPDS MUNCIE SIDE COVER REMOVAL?
I need to replace the oil seals for the shift shafts. The service manual specifies to put it in second gear, before remove the cover. I assume the transmission must be in neutral first! Is it correct?

I think the only reason to put it in second may be so the shift forks easily clear the case....don't really think it matters it will come off regardless... :smash:
