Small base camshaft
Anyone else running one? I think I'm going to run one since I orderd my 406 kit balanced and I don't want to grind the rods down and have to rebalance again. I hear that grinding them smaller makes them weaker. I'm wondering if someone here has used them or had any issues with this style of cam.

In a stroker motor the Comp Cam lobes hit every rod. The Crane went right in.

You have to ask the cam company what the base circle diameter is. Any cam under .980 is small base circle in my book. Comps 1.030 inch is not!

Like Manley 6 inch H-beam 685 gram rods. Little I beam rods like Olivers which only weigh in the 500 grams have plenty of clearance.
