It is under the thermostat housing that is mounted to the intake manifold and is the easiest thing in the world to replace. Under what circumstances does your car overheat? If you do a search, there is a ton of information on here about overheating.

Top radiator hose attaches to thermostat housing on intake manifold.
Remove the two 9/16ths bolts that attach it to intake and it will lift
right up. You will probably need a new gasket to reassemble.
