Default Removing door trim

I almost have the door trim out of my car, but the lock bit next to the door handle is all that is holding me up. Does this bit just pop off or is there something else to it? I tried pulling it off, but it didn't want to come. I didn't want to use any more force because I wasn't sure I was doing it the correct way. The car is a 73 vert.
I think I'll be ordering an AIM today, but it will still be a week or two until it gets here. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Scott

The twist ****?

There is c-clip that holds it on. Basically the same as the clip that hold on the window crank...if you have manual windows... You should be able slip a thin screwdriver in there and push the clip off. Might help to compress the door panel some and see if you can get a peek behind there. so you know which direction the clip is facing.

I took a mini straight screwdriver and heated the end and bent a very small 90* hook on the end. I used the hook to pull off the C clip from the lock ****. To reinstall put the C clip on the **** first, then push it on the shaft.

Ahh, I see. Thanks guys, I will be able do it now. I'm slowly sorting through all the small problems in the car, so hopefully when I'm finished, everything will run perfect. I need to lubricate the electric windows, and get the locks re-keyed, as I didn't geta door key with the car.

AIMs are worth more than they cost.

I almost got one a few weeks ago through Amazon, (from Corvette Central) along with some other stuff, but it wouldn't allow it to go through because I was sending to a PO Box. I will order it separate and get it sent to the house address and see what happens. I'll probably have to pick it up from the post office (ie where the PO Box is) becasuse it is a package and the postie won't carry it on his bike.

But, got one door trim off last night, and one door lock out. Next is the other side.
