How do I remove the Evaporator on a small block automatic? Someone told me they thought I had to remove the exhaust manifold and loosen the engine up and jack it up and over out of the way to clear the evaporator coming out. IS THIS TRUE? All input would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone have any experience with Classic Auto Air complete replacement kit for Air Equipped cars? They claim you can take out all the old components and replace with their complete system. I don't care about originality because the car has been customized and is nowhere near stock.
Please respond if you have suggestions.

i pulled one from a 74 with a SB a while back. i don't recall removing the exhaust, definitely didn't jack up the engine. seems like i removed the compressor 'cause it had to be replaced. seems like i had to dissassemble the evaporator case in place to remove from car. replacement was reverse.
nah you won't have to do that. I remember doing mine I had to cut a wrench down to get on it tho. Just a cheap one in half with a hack saw, not much room to work, but you can do it.
