Frame prep

I bought a NOS frame off of ebay for my 80...

I'm thinking about having it power coated but before I have that done is there anything I should do to the frame.
Frame has some surface rust but nothing major. Painted on part number is clearly visible....

I paid 800 for the frame.

Powercoating with sand blasting is $550.00

By all means paint or powder coat the frame... it will never be easier and the life it will add to the frame will pay you back many times over the life of the car. It will undoubtedly add more than the cost to the value of your car should you decide to sell it as well.

I wanted to know if I should do anything to the frame BEFORE i have it paint or coated. I read a few posts on welding a few areas, adding brackets, etc.. I just don't want to find out I should have done something to the frame after spending 550 bucks to cover it.
