First it was really great meeting a lot of you, Joe(69er), Frank(Nj74), their wives,Jim(CU82),Troy,Kim(73coupe),Juliet ,Mark(I said hi to you Mark but I think you looked right through me?)Clem,Tom(69shark), Mike(69mike), George- (you looked toasted Sat I guess you had a tough drive in), Paul B, Fireball, hope I didn't miss anyone.
I also met and spoke with David Walker(Zip),Shawn Fox(Muskegon),Brain(Bair's) - all great people who really are involved in customer service. Sorry I didn't get to met with Mike Allen or Sam at TLD, but you guys know me from the phone anyway.
As far as the show I though there were some good deals on parts but a lot of junk compared to last year. The cars were priced somewhere between Mars and Venus- sorry if I'm offending any sellers out there but the prices were way high on a lot of cars and I'm not talking about the mid year BB cars either. Example 76 coupe nice shape nothing real special - $20k same car goes for about $10-12k here.
I got to the grounds by 7:00 am so I missed the traffic jams. There's wasn't too much there for good restaurants either- 1.5 hr wait for Hoss's just doesn't cut it for me.That's ok, I didn't go there to eat.
Gas prices were .20 gallon less there so all the vettes could cruise longer! We're still getting gouged by the oil companies here in CT.
The parade was good and I actually got out of the park in time to see it.
All in all a good time was had. Hope to see yu next year!

hi-priced. Wondered around all day friday with my 'Corvettforum' name
tag but didn't see one member. The forum tent was empty...
Still had a great time though!!!!!!
Gary, ya should have gone further up 11N, plenty of restaurants outside of Carlisle that I'm sure wouldn't of been as packed.
) Did I have a glazed stoned look on my face??
That's just my normal demeanor!! Sorry if I missed your greeting - it was a little overwhelming in the tent, with some familiar faces I was looking for, and some unfamiliar faces with familiar names but only on the nametags!! Remember, all those ridiculous prices were ASKING prices. You gotta wonder how many cars for sale actually changed hands..... and at what price. The serious sellers were marking them down by the hour.
We had a great meal at the Gingerbread Man, which is on the river in Camp Hill. Next year if folks are staying in Camp Hill/ Harrisburg we should arrange a dinner there. Plenty of booze and beer, great reasonable food, and a really nice outdoor deck overlooking the river. I was there with just my family, pretty late after the parade.
:seeya next year ! MJ
There were a lot of people in the tent at the time so I figured you just didn't hear me, that's ok we know who we are now.
I'm going to try and get closer to Carlisle next year, Enola was ok but there wasn't much going on near our Hotel. It will be hard to get everyone together on the weekend because of differant events going on. I didn't even get to my clubs tent even though I tried several times to get there.

We only saw two that we thought were even on planet Earth pricewise - a C4 and a C5. We weren't in the market for another Vette (heavy sigh, but I prefer to remain married), so it didn't make any real difference to us. And if it had a 427 in it, it was priced in the $30k range regardless of how bad a shape the rest of the car was in. Not for me, thanks, even if we had been looking.
I guess the "real deals" either went on Friday before we got there, or Sunday after we left (we were only there for Saturday).
But we still had fun, and found all the parts and supplies we needed. Looking forward to next year already.
