I got a 77 and ny carburator is showing age! t's time to retire it. I wanna replace it with a better, newer one. Which one would you recommend as far as performance and gas milage?
I got a 350 small block all original. (but the K&N filter)
thanks
Best carb that was ever built was the Q-Jet next to fuel injections that is the last word in carbs. I would have the q-jet rebuilt and that should last another 20 years.
A good rebuild on your Q-Jet is the way to go, contact LARS and get his paper, he is the carb guru. You can do it.
carb vs Injection, coule of companies making kits, edlebrock is one. FI, better milage, more accurite fa ratio, easier cold weather starting, more $$ more complexity etc..
Carb rebuild, cheap, easy, simple and better milage that ya get now
i know this might sounds crazy but i have been researching crabs for a long time and if u have a rochester carb keep it just get it rebuilt. They are one of the best for carbs because the q jet was designed to be able to adjust to any engine, they are very reliable and very responsive. keep it original with the best.
