Default U-Joints Size?

I purchesed new U-Joints for my drive shaft for an 80 Vette at Advaced Auto and they said that the front and back joints are the same size so I bought two. After I goy home I looked at the drive shaft and noticed the back joint that connects to the differential is smaller then the front. I called Avanced Auto and they told me that there list shows that all the U-Joints for the half shafts and drive shaft are the sane size.
Does any one no were I can get the smaller joint?
Please help, It is getting warmer and i want to DRIVE.

My 79 DS u-joints are smaller than the HS u-joints. I just bought new Spicer units from Drag Vette.

Is there a possibility that the drive shaft is from a different year vette, like an earlier year?

Same thing with my '80. I think it was the rear joint that was smaller. The guy at autozone just matched it up with the existing one. If I still had the boxes I could give you more info. If you have the driveshaft out though it shouldn't be too big of a deal. I just put it on the counter and we matched it up. The joint though was not listed as a Corvette one.

I called Zip and Mid America Corvette today and they both said the same thing that the two u-joints in the drive shaft should be the same size. This is going to be a real pain in the ***.
I do have the shaft out but I threw away the smaller u-joint that was there. Tonight I'll go to Advanced Auto with the shaft and try to match it up with a different joint.

I had the same problem with my '77. Everyone said they were the same, but I ended up at Murray's beleive it or not and they hooked me up.

Just an FYI, I bought the U-joint's without the grease zerks because several people in the forum said they were stonger.
