In November 2005, I Could Not Figure Out Why My Driver's Rear Side Of My Corvette Was Sagging. I Ordered A New Rear And New Coil Springs, New Shocks, Front End Rebuild Kit, From Vette Brake Products. I Had Done Nothing To The Suspension Of The Car Since I Bought It 8 Years Ago. I Had All The Work Done At A Professional Suspension Place In Bakersfield. What A Difference!!!!!! My Corvette Does Not Feel Like Riding On A Skate Board Anymore. Now The Reason Why The Rear Was Sagging, Because The Spring In The Back Was The Wrong Spring And Whoever Put It On Had To Shave It, To Make It Fit. I Really Appreciate All The Input I Received When I Put This On The Corvette Forum Thread. I Suggest Anyone That Has An Older Corvette To Replace All The Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends, Idler Arm, And Bushings (poly). It Will Make A Great Difference To Your Ride. Cheers, Sherry
damn...that has to read spring ...only 1 letter is in the right spot (the g)
What? No g spot jokes yet?
Last year my Vette had the opposite problem. Over the winter the rear raised by about 3" on both sides. At first I saw it head on as I walked into the garage & thought "Wahey! That looks even cooler than I remember it" (I love the funnycar look with the rear jacked up), but when I saw the gap between the rear tires & fender I thought "WTF? That looks really dumb". Couldn't see any problems underneath, took it for a drive & it settled back down. Weird. Has anybody else experienced anything similar (composite rear spring)?

Sounds like someone siphoned gas out of your tank...
Oh Boy, now wait a minute. I have a 77 and it had what looks like the original 30 yr old 9-leaf spring. When I ordered a new one, a 7-leaf HD spring came in from Mid America. Both were 2-1/4" wide. What difference could I expect? (Sorry, I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread, but I think this might be related).
