Sounds stupid but did you check the bulbs? Are they the right ones with two filaments? If not check the grounds in the sockets :chevy

Are you sure? I think one filament is for turn/flashers. and the other is for tail/brake. Now you have me confused

You have power from the turn signal, but not from the brake light? If you have th eright bulbs and they're good then check to see if you have power to the socket when someone else presses the pedal. Use a meter or 12 volt test light to ground to see if you power to the socket. Could be you have no power or a bad connection. SOunds like you have a ground because the signal light works. Check the bulbs and wiring.

Re: brake lights not working (davds96)
If you bypass the brake switch the lights should come on. If so then check for power at the switch and then step on the pedal and check for power after the switch. If no power after and you have power before then the switch is bad. If not then it seems that you probably have a problem with the wiring going to the column from the brake switch. It could be in the column going to the turn signal switch as the brake light circuit runs thru it. However if the hazards work right and the turn sigs work fine then the switch and all wiring after it should be good. Hope this helps saome.
