"shaft rockers" are roller rockers that don`t need a stud girdle....basically it`s two rockers connected by a common shaft that sit on a "stand" that gets bolted to the head......confused yet??

T&D and Jessel are 2 companies that make shaft mounted rockers.
I'm running a set of Jessel's on the 509 BB in my 69 and they are sweet!

I read an article about Jessel (I think it was jessel) he developed these rockers to eliminate a deficency in the stock rocker geometry, I can't quote or explain it, but it was very convincing. The problem does not exist in the Big Block, and results in parasitic loss. So these shaft rockers do alot more then eliminate the need for stud girdles. I'm not sure about other manufacturers.

I assume you are talking about probe the company that makes pistons.
I don't know how good there shaft system is, but a shaft system is
the way to go if you can afford them.

Yep, Probe the piston company. Cost is about $550. I figure when you add up a new set of roller rockers, guidplates and a stud girdel there is not much difference.
