Default Secondaries not working right...
When I open my secondaries 72 LT-1 Holly 6239 vacume....they open, I feel a strong pull (for a split second) then starts missing. Acutally decreases in speed. Do the vacume secondarys need adjusting and can I adjust them? Thanks in advance. Muddy

Other than that...the engine and carb work perfectly...ummmmm

You can put in a different secondary spring. Lighter or heavier spring as needed. Holley has a kit that has a bunch of different springs in it.

Just a thought, Maybe it's running out of fuel. As the secondaries open it is calling for more fuel. If you haven't already done it, I would check your secondary float bowl level. I had this identical problem once before and found the secondary float bowl was too low.

Thanks Gordon...supposed to go on the dyno Friday. I'll get a kit and have it ready.

capevette: Already checked the float level thanks! I also followed Lars paper...so Im all in (36 degrees by 2500 RPM). My hesitation (sputtering) comes in at 4500 RPM. Ummmm.

OK, Now I'm thinking Wires, plugs, fuel filter, air filter. But you probably already checked that too.
