Default VBP Performance Plus System 1963-79

Hi, has anyone installed this suspension ? is it as good as it looks ?
do you like the front mono leaf ?

http://www.vbandp.com/detail.aspx?ID=474

We just got the body off the frame so I guess it is time to start replacing worn out parts with cool parts.....well after the rust is fixed.

any guidance would be helpful, thanks

There are many members on here that have this suspension system on their cars. Most of them hadn't had it on the road as of a few months ago. From what I hear it is a very nice and complete suspension system. I will be purchasing it from VBP once I order the clutch system that will work on my 454. Supposedly an easy install too. Hopfully someone has their car on the road by now and can give us an update. Keep my in the loop about what you do and how you make out.

I got my car back on the road last week, I installed the front and didn't get to the rear. I will wait untill next winter to do the rear, I don't want to lose the season. I also had my steering box blueprinted and rebuilt by Gary Ramadei, and have the bumpsteer kit installed (I have manual steering). I aligned it myself using a caster/camber gage I bought from Jegs Circle Track section of there catalog. There are alot of rough roads near me. It's great, I have it on the second softest setting and I think I can go stiffer, feels like a new car.

Front tires are 245/40 17s. Rear tires are 285/35 18s. Michelin Pilot Sport's... Can't wait to test them out...
