DEALER 419??????

I am trying to uncover the history on my tank sticker. The zone says 42, which was in WA. The dealer # is 419. Anyone know who dealer 419 was in 1969?

Can you get to the sticker without dropping the tank??? Would an 80 have a tank sticker?

Hi Bluewasp,

I am not sure, but I believe you actually have to drop the tank. I was lucky enough to get the tank sticker in a 10 year old pile of receipts that was forwarded to me after I had already taken delivery of the car.

Check the NCRS Discussion Board...Zone and Dealer section and see if it's listed. Also check Triple A, the window sticker people. They have a large data base. You'll have to buy a repro sticker to get the info. Hope this helps. Chuck

Tripple A was the one who told me that zone 42 was in Washington, they also told me I would have a hard time finding out who dealer 419 is and they won't give me a window sticker until I give them a dealer. I don't want to give them a fake dealer.

The NCRS search at http://www.ncrs.org/dealercode/dealerzone.html for zone 42 reveals no dealer 419. However, when you just put in 419 and no zone #, then it brings up the following:

Mauldin Chevrolet, Pendelton SC - Zone 8, Dealer 419
