Its weekend 3 into my 74 rebuild. I ripped out all the power steering componets, tie rods, ball joints, springs, shocks, ect....
I rebuilt the power steering cylinder, put in a valve, new tie rods, ball joints, springs, shocks, ect...
When I when to put the lines from the power steering cylinder to the valve I forgot how the lines were set up. I looked on zips site for a tech article but it showed the cylinder with the inlet and out let across the bottom of the valve. Mine is up and down on the left side.
I think the lines go as follows, The bottom line on the valve goes to the top of hole on the cylinder, and the top line on the valve goes to the bottom line of the cylinder.
I didn't prime the system or start the car yet, I just want to make sure I have it set up right before go any further.
You are correct the top port on the cylinder goes to the bottom port on the valve. Bottom on the cylinder goes to the top port in the valve. Also, the two hoses criss-cross on the valve.
