Default taillight problem

I just got a 1978 25th anniversary edition vette the person who had it treated it very badly. and was doing things proboly illegal so he tried to disconnect the taillights... then he tried to hook them back up again. and now only 1 side works and when you push the brake the whole left side goes off and the right comes on.. Where is the wiring for this located? and how would I fix this?

Well part of the harness is up under the bumper - you'll have to get up under there and find out what the heck he did.

Got the '78 assembly instruction manual (AIM)? Shows you a picture of everything.

Just making sure there wasn't some odd structure up there that I've never heard of.

"Free" or "Cheap" aren't words you'll hear too often in connection with Corvettes.

An assembly manual goes for ~$18.00 on Ebay. I bought one for $25.00 including shipping. It's a good thing to have.
