dammitman! LOL. yes it would make the mount nuts contact the plate at an angle, not sure if thats a real problem or not, I would use SS washers under the nuts and NYLOC nuts or something like them to mount with I think.

The reason intakes are higher on the back is to compensate for the
angle of the engine so the carb will stay level and the fuel floats
will work right. wedge spacers are for racers that have changed the
angle of there motor to help them get there carb back to level.
A level carb is important. mod the base above your carb if you
do not like the fit to the hood.
