Default Oil Temp sender location/

Installing one of those Nordskog digital dash set ups and it comes with a digital oil temp gauge. Whats a good location to install the sender? It's a 1/8 npt so I may have to use a bushing . Would it be possible to "tee" it off the pressure sender or should I find a seperate location? If so where? 79 vette, 350 motor.
Thx, ESU

When I added an oil temp. gauge, I moved the oil pressure sender to top of block & put the oil temp. sender by the oil filter.
Later I found out Corvette engineering agrees w/ me.

What about the little gallery plug on the front above the water pump?

Install the 'T' or use the hole at the top of block by the distributor. I had to move my pressure sending unit up there because I could not get the plug out the hole by the filter on my new block.

Was thinking about that plug on top of the block behind the dist but wasnt sure if the oil was there or not? Thats probably the way I'll go. Just curious, what do you mean by corvette engineering agreeing with you? Advantages to switching them around like that?

82s and C4s have the oil temp sending unit above the oil filter. It is already the right size hole.

What he might mean is that that is where GM placed the feed for the oil pressure guage when they were still mechanical guages Like on my 68

Spent an hour in the garage tinkering and I couldnt reverse the two senders because the fat bulbous oil press sender wouldnt clear the edelbrock alum intake. Had to put the temp sender there. Thx anyway

My oil pressure sender is on the top near the firewall on my '81.

I am having trouble with both my engine temp and my oil temp guages and I bet its the double tanged sender on the passenger side of the engine. (Two for one sender?) Got any ideas on that one?

Thanks.
