Sorry for multiple posts, am in a rush to get this info off to my m8 who is fabricating my bung/plug.
Does the bung need to go close to the engine on the side/top of the exhaust? Was thinking of mounting mine in the header tube close to the #1 cylinder...
Do NOT put it in a primary tube. The LSU4 sensor that the LM-1 uses will overheat. It needs to go in the collector or even behind the collector.
It is a self-heated sensor. It can even produce fairly accurate readings at the tail pipe.
I have mine installed on the drivers side, right at the "T" of the crossover pipe which happens to be about even with the front edge of my seats.
The older single wire O2 sensors required extreme heat from the exhaust to function properly, thus being placed in the header collector.
