Default Stock Intake Height

I can't seem to find any information anywhere regarding the A-B measurements of a regular stock gm cast iron intake manifold. I have one on my 81 right now (soon to be replaced by a performer rpm q-jet) and another one like it I measured for fit. I didn't want to remove the carburetor and thermostat (and distributor?) just to measure it, so I hope the other one is the same. Mine is a casting number 346249 while the junk yard one I measured is a 346250. They appear to be the same and trace down to similar applications. Did GM make these things different heights. I'm not talking about LT1's or anything. Just plain jane. What are the measurements for those who don't have a junk yard to go to. I know most of you have measured at some time. I came up with A=2.9375 B=4.375. But the edelbrock site says nothing but a performer will fit a stock corvette hood. Why do they say this. These measurements leave me plenty of room?

From a 71 L48 OE cast iron w/ qjet I had:
Intake Manifold, Cast Iron c/n 3973460
F = 2.69”
R = 4.375”

Keep in mind ... you have an air cleaner that's about 14-16" OD sitting on top of a carb ... the pad angle translates into alotta rise/fall at edges of cleaner ... that cleaner is close to hood. So ... it's not simply a matter of pad height ... it's a combo of both pad angle & pad height that you're dealing with.

Has anyone ever measured a non-vette GM intake? I think mine is off a van from around 1979.
