The picture in my signature is my 'vette with Cibie low/highs with Narva xenon bulbs.
They work perfectly. Swap them just as easily as any other headlight, and the guy at Aardvark International (www.talbotco.com) puts the bulbs in for you before he ships. Rather expensive, though, like $120 just for the lows.
They work GREAT, though.

71coupe - the lenses are flat with a very slight convex curve.
I think Mark is right about hi/lo. The hi onlys use H1 bulbs, which have a
different pinout than the H4s. I think the pattern is also different (the e-code bulbs have a very defined light pattern).
I'm now thinking about buying a complete set of Cibies just to see if they really are better; H4 low beams and yellow high beams (increases contrast). So I may have a set of H4 Hellas for sale in the near future, email me if anyone's interested. They are in great shape.
FWIW I ordered a H4 conversion for my motorcycle, and I'll never run another car with the old style sealed beam lights again (unless it's a serious budget car). JC Whitney has some no-name H4 conversions like the Hellas for $16 including a bulb (that's what I got for the bike). I haven't tried them yet. I'm not sure if this is the same beam pattern as a car bulb. http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoit...D=62600&BQ=mot
OK on the spur of the moment I just ordered me $300 worth of Cibies (convex h4 outers, yellow h1 inners, $18 h4 bulbs). I don't know why I did this, I am very satisified with my Hellas. I just want to see if there is anything better out there, I guess. Anyways, if anyone is interested, I have the two Hellas in very good shape complete with bulbs (90/100w or 55/60w), the're for sale if anyone is interested. Make me an offer!
Street Beat customs has these for $60 & $70 (DOT APPROVED): http://www.streetbeatonline.com/round.html but its unclear about which ones are brights, or if either of them are or if that price is for a pair.
I would avoid DOT approved H4 headlights. The whole advantage of the e-code lights is the superior beam pattern which is NOT DOT approved. I would also avoid no-name lights. Might be the same thing JC Whitney is selling for $15/light (also including bulb).
I got my New headlights today from prostreetlighting.com (for $120 for all 4) and after a little clipping of the metal tags on the back, as dsagers said, everything is looking great. The difference is enourmous, and I got the cheapest setup, I'd imagine those cibies are REALLY nice. If you like the idea of ditching old, crusty sealbeam lights for new e-code h1's and h4's for very little money, I definately recomend the lights I bought. They had em to me in 2 days for free.
I installed a Bosch four light conversion in my car. It came with 55 watt lo-beam and 60 watt hi beam bulbs. I purchased some racing bulbs made by Flosser in Germany that were rated at 80 w lo and 100 w hi and they do brighten things up considerably. I have yet to be flashed on my lo beams because I took the time to aim them properly. Paid around 200 bucks for everything.
I got the set of 4 lights from prostreet lighting ($88 :D, ebay is great) and they are shipping out tomorrow. Hopefully I will like them as much as you!
