Just curious on how many miles per week everyone puts on their Vette. I put around i'd say 50-100 miles per week. I'm still new to the vette scene and am trying to keep the miles down for the sake of keeping it low miles. Right now it's got almost 28k. I enjoy the hell out of driving it, but hate to see those miles creep up there. Kind of a love hate thing. In all honesty the miles are going to probably win out, I like driving it too much, but did anyone else feel this way when they first got their first vette? This brings up a second point, how much do you all think a C3 would sell for in the future, say ten years with low miles?
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
I have had my Vette for 10 years and still love driving it every chance I get, it never gets old, partly because I am always doing modifications to it and the 406ci is soooo much fun to drive. I put about 250-400 miles a week on it.
I don't care about the mileage, it's a new car every 100,000 anyway just like the rest of the C3's for sale on ebay, right now I got 15,000 miles on her

same here..60 miles a day, 4 days a week minimum for mine...
daily driver.. plain and simple.. i dont care much about miles and what itle be worth later.. didnt have much to start out with and its not even close to #s matching.. so **** it.. im with the purple 406 vette dude .. thats what i want mine to be like.. just add some flares and black side exaust with red paint and a zl1 like stripe.. . ALL DAY FUN!!!
As much as possible! If I'd want money just sitting there, I'd put it in the bank. But I can't go to work by car (too close: must use bike), so I mostly stick to weekends: say an average 50 miles per week.
The 75 has seen only about 3K miles in 3 years. The 84 is a "mostly daily driver" and saw about 6-7K last year. The 84 has 82K miles and the 75 about 71K miles.
Ever chance I get! Who cares about miles; except for the experience of driving them! The more I do to it the more fun I have driving it. I couldn't own a vehicle and not drive it.

I drive my 82 everytime I can. Take it to the grocery store (so the frozen stuff does not melt ). Have put over 1000 miles on it since the last oil change in May this year. I figure I am helping the other guys with 82's, this way their low mileage ones will be more rare.
When the weather is nice..... Im driving it!
Drive it for an hour, work on it for 3 hours
Yup...me to...about 50-60 a week..bought mine a year ago Memorial Day as a birthday present to ME! (the ex can go to...well, you know where)
Vette's got better then 100K, so mileage is moot...won't run her in winter, so it's a 6 monther keeping mileage down annually...
I say drive it like ya stole it...and ENJOY!!
My '69 is my daily driver. Only car I own. I drive it to work every day. I use it to run errands like driving my clothes to the laundromat and grocery shopping. I have driven it about 5k miles since I bought it 7 months ago. If you arent driving it, you are wasting it
Bought my '82 6 years ago last month with 11,137 miles on the clock, and it now shows 26,xxx:
going out tonight for about a 75 mile drive to a Corvette gathering, and tomorrow for church and lunch, too.
'Usually', we don't take it out unless we have a reason (for a nice drive, going to dinner, meeting other Corvette-owning friends, etc. ), but we try getting her out once-a-week.
Last year I drove my '69 about 1,200 miles, the '61 about 1,200 miles as well. They compete with my R6 about 1,100 miles, my '68 Impala convertible about 7,000 miles, and my new Viper SRT-10 11,200 miles. Our "season" is only about 8 months. I won't drive on salt brine roads.
In the past my '61 was driven up to 6,000 miles a year and the '69 up to 15,000 miles/year.
GM STILL doesn't build a Corvette convertible more powerful than the best of the '69s!! My '69 is comparable to a new 400 HP Corvette in to the ground power with its modified small block.
