new exhaust help
I plan to put the new exhaust on in about 1 week, My plan is to go 2.5" into flowmaster 40 series (1971 - 454- 4 speed - 3:36 rear gears). any advise? Also what do I need relative to off sets for the inlet and outlet, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I suggest you buy some ear-plugs....J/K. I have the 40's on my '68...used off-set inlet, center outlet. They can be a little loud. Will be adding an "H"-pipe this week. I also put down some Fat-Mat last week, along with lots of jute under the carpets, to help with the interior sound level.

I am doing the same. I got the 2 1/2 pipe kit from Ecklers, and a X-pipe from Dr Gas. I originally bought Flowmaster delta 40's, but after reading many threads and talking to some friends, I switch to Delta 50. It's all getting installed next thurs/friday. I may also try some resonator's on the outputs.
