Any of you folks running a 4 link rear. What are you doing for lateral tracking. A panhard rod would be to short. My kit came with a diagonal track locator but it seems to be mighty close to the pinoin yolk when mounted on the lower connecters. I could mount it on the upper bolts of the 4 link but I think that would raise my Roll Center to high, correct. I was thinking of fabricatiing a wishbone type locator as I belive that would clear my pinon yolk and still allow me to mount it low. any advice?
Cant see how roll center would be a problem you are no longer
going around any corners with what you have now.
I don't know what a J bar panhard rod is? It's true I'm not using this to take corners at more then a crawl but I don't want a twitchy unstable beast in the big end of a run. The better I can make it " handle " the better it will act if I can get it to hook. Stoping too, stoping straight would be good.
IMO the best system is a diagonal track locator bar from the frame hinge point to the other sides axle hinge. that way you divide it in 2 large triangles and triangles are the sturdiest geometryc shape. It only takes 1 bar and 2 rods, very simple.
A wishbone is also possible but more work and less effective.

I swear some people are just picky, you want to go in a strait line
and be able to stop without getting squirrelly. What about all the
old alterd short wheelbase strait front axle cars or stone/woods/cook
41 ****** they did not worry about getting squirrelly.

Panchop,
What (Watt??) about a Watts linkage? They have been standard fitting on many production cars as well as race cars. I'm presuming you've ditched the IRS in favour of a live axle.
