Hood alternative?
I'm ging to need a high-rise hood for my '76 pretty soon. A while back somebody posted a link to a company that makes "lift-off" style high-rise hoods for 'Vettes and other cars.
I'd like to go with a lift-off hood if possible--less weight, less expense, yadda, yadda.
Anybody have a clue?

They have both the hinge-able type and the lift-off, lightweight type.

Have you ever considered a scoop? You can get a stinger style fiberglass scoop and glass it on, which is what I'm going to do. They look rather nice on a C3. Plus you get an extra 3 1/2" of air cleaner clearance.
That's what I'm going to do. The only downside is that it has to be painted. But so would a replacement hood.
