Accelerator Rod Replacement
Has anyone ever replaced an early '69 accelerator rod with a late ('69L-76) one? The early rod is actually a 2-piece one and the late one is one solid piece. My early one has developed "slop" where the pieces attach together which cannot be tightened up with the attachment nut.(Which is probably why GM changed to a solid rod later)
Other than the pivot support that goes with it, is anything else needed for the exchange?
Will it move in position correctly to activate the trans. kickdown switch without issues?
