Any of you have any experience with this product in their 82 Vette?I was just looking at their web site and saw them.I didn't think anybody had anything like this for 82 CF engines.Thanks.

Have one in the wife's 82. It realy didn't make much difference as far as power is concerned, but it does change the way the trans works. It only allows the clutches to ingage in top gear. Makes it nicer to drive.

I agree, I ran one on my old '82. Biggest difference was it eliminated the "hunting" for gears in town. I also had the air-door removed, timing advanced and ran a 160 degree thermostat on it. She ran pretty strong for a 150K+ mile car.

I put the "Thermo-Master" chip in my 82 right after I bought it in '98. As Bob (Roadster71) said, the biggest NOTICABLE change was the converter lock-up/overdrive engagment timing. The car was horriable to drive with the stock chip at low speeds due to the transmission going into overdrive and the converter locking at 30mph.

P.S. See you Sunday Bob!!!!!
