Default Where do the wires go?

Like a dummie while I was installing some aftermarket valve covers on my 79 I pulled two wires loose. One is a single white wire that comes out of the firewall from behind the engine. The other wire is a black wire coming out of one end of what looks like condenser. The other end is a brown wire that is running under the distibutor. The only other clue I have is the tack stopped working. I have look at the wiring diagram and I can not find either of these wires. Thanks Gary B.

The brown wire goes to the distributor tach pin. I don't know about the white wire...

The brown wire is connected to the distributor but where does the wire on the other end go. Gary B

Tach filter shown below. The white wire MIGHT be for the hood switch. I have one located just above the dist to the left that has a white whire attached to it. The white wire shown in this picture is part of the tach filter.
