I am conquring the wiper problem one step at a time.
All of the hoses seam to be in the right place.
I need a new under dash electrical switch as I believe the old one doesn't work. I jumpered across the wires and the wipers work.
The last problem is that the door will not open when I turn on the wipers, and the door will close when I turn off the wipers.
The underdash vacumn switch is closed.
The under dash electrical switch is disconnected.
any ideas??

68-72 WIPER DOOR SOLENOID VALVE Opens the wiper door when the wipers are turned on. Mounts behind the tachometer. Colored dots identify the ports for vacuum hoses connection. NOTE: The port covered with a foam filter is not connected to any hoses.

If the underdash switch is bad they wont work-keep your jumper in place until you get new switch-its just for changing wiper blades

What tells this solenoid to open the wiper door?
