Default Halfshafts@#*&#@

Was under the vette today, pulled the gas tank, rear rotors, heat shield, leaf spring, and spare carrier. Only thing left was the half shafts- bolts on the clips going to the diff came out no problem. When I tried to break the bolts loose that go in the spindles, they are so tight I broke a socket not to mention my knuckles. What a B@$#%! I hit them with rust buster but its not working. Any suggestions please? I dont want to get too crazy with the bolt heads coz I might round them off. Also, do the front rotors come off the same way as the rears? I removed the rears no problem, but the front ones are really on there. HELP?

Good old fashion muscle for the bolts will get em loose, as for the front rotors, remove the assembly, and your going to have to drill the rivets binding the rotors to the hub, I can help you out there...Good luck, Happy to help.
Latr,
Jon

Here are the tools you'll need:

Punch a divet before you drill:

Drill it, I think a 3/8 bit:

Knock the head off:

Punch the rivet out:

Do all 5:

Paint to match:

Hey guys great ideas! Never would of thought of the jack - very cool. First I'll smoke 'em, and if that doesn't work, I'll break out the jack. THANKS!

Never underestimate the power of letting them just sit over night after soaking them well with your favorite penetrating oil. What would kill you on the first day is not nearly as bad the next day, IF you have the time.
