I'm trying to decipher the correct/incorrect part for a '73 radiator support bracket. Looks like I got the wrong part from a forum supplier. Any engine compartment pics +/- 73 would be greatly appreciated.
great - thanks!
looks like you did some nice purty-up in there. that's what I hope to do some day...baby steps.
that radiator support bracket is what is interesting. I don't know if my '73 should have one bracket in the center to the fan shroud, or 2 brackets, one on each L & R side.
Any '73ers with opinions or pics?
Pardon all the grunge and grim, this was when It was first unloaded off the car hauler when purchased. It is a stock 73 and has one bracket in the center of the fan shroud.
This is a picture of an unmolested 73 with 5,700 miles on it.

Thanks hwcoop - this looks amazing just like my car! Even the non-stock dark green paint. Except my hood heat-sheild blanket isn't in as good a shape as yours.
I'd like to get mine half as clean as that second pic you sent.
I'm exchanging emails with the vendor, trying to decipher what parts I have, and what I really need.
My '73 big block had the two brackets, one on each end of the radiator.

Well my new core support bracket wasn't completely setup for my '73 SB, but I made it work. But it's good to know that if I ever go BB I can still use what I've got.

The green is original code 945 Blue-Green the front end was repainted in 90 but from the doors back it's 33 year old paint.
The second pic was a 73 that was listed on ebay with 5,800 original miles, a great time capsule for checking how these were assembled
Cool - didn't know there was a blue-green original color. Mine has been re-painted something very similar, but originally was the ugly green used. I don't have access to the codes at the moment. I like the color yours/mine is now, nice.
