I'm new to posting, and new to working on cars, so please bear with me. I had to take the rear dif. off of my 75, and now I'm trying to get the leaf springs back on correctly. I have new bushings, but according to Chiltons, I have an extra part. Here are the parts I have for each side:
1 Bolt
2 New Bushings
1 Castle Nut
2 Spring Retainers (The cups that the Bushings fit into)
3, yes 3 - WASHERS.
In the Chiltons, it shows a washer up at the head of the bolt, and one at the threads, where the castle nut connects. Any clue where the "extra" washer I have came from? Was there possibly 2 at the bottom, around the castle nut, to adjust the height in some way?
