I got my parts from a junk speedo on ebay for $10. Note that the gear in question is peened on, and you will most likely need to use the housing from the donor speedo. The swapping of parts is easy. The hardest part is removing the speedo needle without breaking it off.

After you push it in to re set it to zero... turn it the other way and set it to 1 10th mile ....pull it back out and and see if it clocks...Ill bet it will work
