The Pace Car had rear spoiler plus "79" seats that folded about mid-point...orignally,the Silver Anniv was going to be the "Pace Car",but it was difficult to photograph...so an idea came up to paint top black,and bottom silver,unlike the Silver Anniv with Silver on top and dark silver on the bottom..clear as mud,huh ?
Not available as an option until 79, tho. Maybe some dealers put some on in 78. Standard on the Pace Car. as Rich said, since most ads in 78 were black and white.
