Default Transmission conversion

Hi all,
I have a 350 out of an automatic 75 that I am installing into a 1983 El Cameno. The El Cameno was a V-6 with a 3 speed manual on the floor. Question is will the flywheel from the V-6 work with the 350 install, It appears that the flywheel will bolt up ok. Will there be a balance issue here?
Thanks in advance

Don't fergit the spigot or pilot bush in the back of the crank. It holds the input shaft in line with the crank.

I would be concerned with starter issues. Flywheel diameter/teeth ect:

I put a 300 HP 350 in a 81 ElCamino that was originaly a V6 and I had a few problems
Tha first thing you will need to do is make sure you install the stantion plates for the motor mounts Exactly where theyre supposed to be
#2 is.. you will certainly need new coil springs in the front as the V8 will cause the nose to drop quite a bit and your handleing will be very poor

*EDIT* IM confused, Are you changing engines or just transmissions?
When you say 350 I dont know if your talking about a 350 CID engine or a TH 350 Transmission

I can't remember exactly, but I'm thinking the V6 was balanced different than a small block. As cheap as a flywheel is (and as hard to change), I would just get one for a small-block.

350 CID,

Thanks for the input, this car belongs to a friend of mine and I am helping him with it. I had not thought of the coil spring thing, but you are right. They sell the different motor mounts locally. That little V-6 was an absolute bear to get out. I believe we will have to get the different flywheel. The 6 banger has the 153 tooth and I don't believe it will work.

Bob,
There are a lot of holes in the crossmember, Do you remember exactly where the stantion plates mount?

It was many years ago but I do know that I measured another V8 ElCamino and for some reason wound up welding the stantions in rather than bolting them.
I dont think it was a problem as far as where to bolt them, I just think it was easier to use my Mig welder than to bolt them in
Another thought... are you leaving the stock 3 speed manual tranny in?
I doubt...sorry I know.... It wont stand up to the torque that the V8 produces
