What a PITA to install the fan shroud setup and mine is cut in half. Wasted the better part of a day, forgot how crammed in there it was. First time there needs to be any work in that area it's coming out and an electric fan going in. This is probably the worst design area on the car: "Remove hood to work on radiator" , how retarded is that.
Let's all say it together "Remove the hood, remove the radiator" Only I didn't ask first and got very pizzed when I decided to jank the engine. Seriously, part of the fun is enjoying the challenges we encounter with our rides.

I thought the shroud was a real PITA too. I recently installed a new dewitts radiator and since it was such a fight to get the shroud out, I didn't want to put it back in fearing that I would damage my new radiator. So I am installing new dual spal electric fans just so I don't have to deal with that shroud again.
When I Redid the upper engine on my car. I pulled the shroud radiator and condensor without removing the hood. Granted it is a be cool radiator. But I don't see how that could matter.
I just removed the radiator on my 74/350 and didn't have to remove the hood. I did unbolt the hood support latch from the fender and held the hood up with a stick to gain more room.
Then I remove the shrould extention, clutch fan, shroud (mine had been cut in half) and then removed the radiator. Did it all by myself. I sat on the AC unit and lifted the rad. out and laid on the fender. Had everything covered in old blankets.
Have not installed everything yet, but think it would go OK too!!!
