whats is this part called
what is this part in mounted in the vacun line from the vacum port on top on the intake manifold vacum line goes in threw the fire wall is this a check valve or what is it and what does it do this is on my 79

It could either be a check valve or a vacuum filter.

On my 68 first there is a white plastic filter (one hose in/one hose out), next is a metal check valve, similar size and shape, but one hose in, 2 hoses out. MJ

It's like MN Jacks 68 with the round metal one with one hose in two hose out I thank the round plastic one with one hose in one hose out may be a filter why it's use I don't no
