JUMP ON IT!!!!!

Newly rebuilt rears go for $650 and up depending on where you go.

If you don't buy it I might want it!

I think it woulda helped if I spelt VALUE korrekt in the tidle of the post

Well, I guess Ill jump on it
It is missing the cover............ Looong story..
The owner is very old and took the cover off to inspect the work years ago and it got tossed by his lively bride

I know him well, its been shot with lithium grease on a regular basis and is wrapped in plastic.

He also has a set of 1972 T-tops for $100 with no interior,
Does that sound a bit steep?

Ive seen them, they are also wrapped up and look great with all the hardware

Vendors pay 200-250 for cores with good carriers. As long as the carrier isn't cracked that is a good deal.

Now before I use it I would look it over good. As stated basic rebuilds run about $700 but these usually are only a master kit and clutches -set up stock. If you get into tuning, custom building, adding yokes, gears, etc double that cost easily.

Im gonna go take a good look at it this eveining
Its a 3:36 (I think) and my 73 is a 3:08 so I may just turn around and sell it ...Mine was rebuilt not long ago and it also has a Heavy Duty Muskeegen Brake cover on it

I also have to find info on how to determine the ratio

I thought $100 was a little steep fot tht T tops but maybe not
Ill look in the for sale section and see what people are selling them for

"core charge" is only $500 when you DON`T have one to turn in, it`s like calipers sure the "core" is $40 but the rebuilders ONLY pay $25. One of the larger Corvette rear end rebuilders (Pat Ikerd) pays $250 for rebuildable rear ends making the $500 "core charge" somewhat of a joke (especially when you don`t have one).....I would make sure it`s a posi rear end and it is what he says it is and BUT IT!!
