Default 12 volt source for hei conversion

im running a zz502,with a mini starter, and am converting the ignition to a hei.does anyone know where i can pickup a clean 12 source for the hei?I thought I could run one up from the run tab on the starter but the mini doesnt have the 4 posts on the rear ...just a small start pole and a large battery pole, the other large post goes into the starter casing.im not sure what the best route is to take.any help is much appreciated.

This should be fairly universal. here is what i did.

find the resistor wire that goes to the coil. might be black with pink stripe . written on the wire is " resistor , do not cut" or something like that. find the wire and follow it back to the junction box. pull the wire and replace it with a NON resistor wire. Mad electrical sells kits for this but you just need the connectors and some wire. this way you are keeping the same circuit but have the full power now.

oh, to get the connector out of the plastic box i put a soldering iron on it for a few seconds then it slid right out.

Also, what are you going to do for a Tachometer?
I think they make some decent looking "In Dash" replacements these days
