Do they actually have the "original" build info? I thought this documentation was long trashed by GM.

This is what you get from Allied.
With this in hand go to http://www.window-sticker.com/ and they will repro a very accurate copy for your Vette.

Try Allied Vaughn at this address: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/

Click on Education > Owner Research > General Search Information and follow the directions.

Allied Vaughn has microfiche records of GM dealer invoices for some 77-82 Corvettes. They will want your VIN, your credit card number, and an email address to reach you. I was able to get the dealer invoice for my 1980 L-82 and was tickled with it.

Technically this isn't build information, but the dealer invoice and window sticker were prepared at about the same time from the information on the Corvette build sheet used at the plant. The window sticker lists the options and retail costs. The dealer invoice lists the options, retail prices AND prices as discounted to the dealer. It also contains the date the invoice was prepared, shipping date for the car, and expected date the Corvette would arrive at the dealership.

Nice information to have.

Got my dealer invoice from allied. $50.00 is a little out of line but what you gonna do. The strange twist is that the car was ordered by a GM employee, that worked at Linden Assembly as it states on the invoice I too worked there too. I didn't know the person he worked in a diffren't dept. I just took ownership of this car in Sept of 05 it's last time on the road was 1989. I have been driving it since I got it after some safety issues were taken care of ie BRAKES
