We got some stuff, don't think it's oil, maybe antifreeze on my new Chrome headers from Hooker. I wasn't aware but we ran them hot, not breaking in a cam hot but to normal temp and this stuff is really baked on there, Ive used some wussie chrome polish from turtle wax, it seems to lighten the stain up but there still there, called Hooker, asked them did I just ruin my headers??? I mean stuff get's spilt or splashed on them from the road and get's baked on. can anyone recommend a good strong chrome cleaner or solvent, the polish I don't think seems to cut it? Hooker said should come out might take a while.
I got the mothers ball which I'm going to try later.
Any advice would be appreciated?
I'm stepping out for a while will check back in a few hours.
Noxon 7 Polish/Cleaner. I've used it to take the blue out of motorcycle pipes. Available in the supermarket or hardware store. If they haven't changed the container has a green label.
Happich semichrome polish may work also, I use it on aluminium to polish it. Available in auto parts stores and motorcycle shops.
I went to a Harley-Davidson show and most of the guys there was using this on their chrome pipes. I asked several of them what they thought and they all said "When it comes to chrome polish, I would use nothing else.". I bought some and MAN talk about shiney....The only place I could find it is at a Harley Dealership for about $8.00....Who else knows chrome better than Harley owners.....

I used this for years to remove the blue that appeared over time on the chrome pipes of my Harley. I started using it on everything from chrome to polishing the aluminum wheels on my Corvette... great stuff and the easiest place to find it is at a good motorcycle shop,
